With significant demand for short-term lets in the area – whether holiday or work purposes – comes also the increasing demand for professional services to manage the properties. Therefore, Pass the Keys is delighted to announce that we have teamed up with local entrepreneur Crissie Kulka, sharing our expertise and knowledge to provide support to the region.
We interviewed the owner of the Stroud and South Gloucestershire franchise, Crissie, to find out why she is excited to grow a short-let business in the region and what attracted her to partner with Pass the Keys!

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m Crissie and have lived in the region for a whole decade. Originally from Brazil, I formed a family here in the UK and put down roots in Gloucestershire, attracted by its beautiful nature whilst having everything we could possibly need around us.
I have been fascinated by properties since I can remember, and have recently left a job in finance, another passion of mine, to partner with Pass the Keys. So you can be sure that I will put all my effort into maximising your income whilst you sit back and relax.
What drew you to partnering with Pass the Keys?
I came across Pass the Keys when looking for my next career step. After a lot of research, I found my perfect match! Owning my own business while having the shared knowledge and support of our central team, working with beautiful properties, and also putting my finance skills into great use: what else could be better?!
What attracted me the most to Pass the Keys is the great technology behind the company. While guests have the flexibility to check in whenever they wish and have access to 24/7 support, hosts can sit back and relax, knowing we will take care of everything. The client portal gives a full oversight of upcoming bookings, a monthly summary of revenue and photos are uploaded after each and every clean.
Pass the Keys is unique in its market, offering comprehensive end-to-end services and the proof of its success is in the excellent Trustpilot reviews.
Why are Stroud and South Gloucestershire good for short-letting on platforms like Airbnb?
Our region has a great mix of resort destinations as well as urban areas. Surrounded by the Cotswolds Hills, Stroud and surrounding villages offer beautiful scenery, great markets and historical culture. From National Trust attractions to the famous “Shambles market”, you will be spoilt for choice. Further south, you can visit the Westonbirt Arboretum with one of the world’s biggest collections of trees or come aboard the last supersonic Concorde at the Aerospace Museum, followed by a complete shopping experience at The Mall.
The staycation is here to stay, despite travel restrictions we may have in the future. Holidaymakers have enjoyed the comfort and privacy of a home-from-home stay while supporting the local economy. The lack of supply and high demand for short-let properties have increased occupancy significantly and it isn’t different in our region. The more remote locations have seen this increase in 2021. However, the demand for towns and cities have now followed suit. So whether you are in the Cotswolds, or in one of many towns around Gloucestershire, the high demand trend will continue into 2022.
If you have a passion for the short-letting industry and are looking to become your own boss, then why not consider becoming a Pass the Keys Franchise Partner?
